Doug McCormack has spent 35 years working across healthcare policy, law, technology, and entrepreneurship.

He has founded and led three venture-backed companies in orthopedic medical devices, digital health, and medical robotics. Fierce Healthcare named him to the Fierce 15 in Medical Devices.

Before his entrepreneurial career, Doug spent fifteen years in law, policy, and advocacy. He co-founded the federal policy and advocacy practice at Dentons as a partner, and earlier represented healthcare clients on policy and regulatory matters at Arent Fox.

Doug founded Acumen Partners to bring together investment, advisory, and corporate development for early-stage healthcare ventures, providers, and medtech companies facing high-stakes decisions.

He serves as Chairman of MedMatrix Rx, a management services organization building pharmacy specialty care networks for DSH hospitals, FQHCs, and other safety-net providers. He is also Co-Founder and Chairman of Biocerta Precision Therapeutics, a biotech company that uses drug-sensitivity testing to improve the matching of oncology medications for patients.

Doug is an Industry Advisor to the University of Pittsburgh's HexAI Research Laboratory. He holds a JD from American University's Washington College of Law and a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. He has completed advanced coursework in AI corporate strategy at MIT Sloan and MIT CSAIL, and Health AI at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
